This weekend the girls enjoyed a quick trip to the American Girl Place in L.A.! Our really good friends, the Farish's, invited us to go with them to celebrate their daughter Sarah's birthday. We also celebrated Alexa's birthday! We left on Friday and came back Saturday night. When we got to CA we went to the beach for about 3 hours. Then, back to the Hotel for bed.
The next morning we went to the American Girl Place. We had tickets to a special presentation with Kristi Yamaguchi. It was about being an 'All American Girl'. The girls were excited to meet her and have their picture taken. Then, we went down to the Doll Hair Salon. The girls got to pick the hair style for their doll. Since Alexa's Bitty Baby goes everywhere with her, Bitty Baby even joined in. They cleaned her skin and put a bow in her hair. Then we did a little shopping. They each picked one outfit and a pair of glasses for their dolls. After that we had our birthday luncheon in the Cafe. It was so cute in there. They had happy birthday signs for Sarah F. and Alexa. They had a special chair for the dolls to sit in. They also gave the dolls their own tea set. With lunch all the girls had pink lemonade. They brought out a beautiful birthday cake and pink peppermint ice cream in flower pots. VERY CUTE! Each girl also got a little goodie bag. They had a lot of fun.
On a side note, I had to laugh when I went in the bathroom with the girls and saw a special place to hang your baby while you go to the bathroom. I couldn't find a place to hang my purse, but I could find a place to hang the doll!
After spending 6 hours there we got back in the car to drive home. The girls had a great time, and so did I. They were on their best behavior. It was a lot of fun to spend that special time with them! I am so thankful that my friend Laura invited us. We had an Amazing time!!
What could be better than spending 11 years with my best friend! I would like to express how much I love my husband. He is not perfect, and neither am I, but together, we are the PERFECT fit! He is my everything, and I could never ask for anything more! I love you Babe! Happy Anniversary!
In Honor of Alexa this post will be all girl colors! If they had Glitter font I would use it!! Today she turnes 6!! I can't believe it. Because Frankie had to go out of town we had a party last night!
She didn't get to have a big friend party this year so she invited 2 of her cousins to come to dinner. She loves pasta! That is why she picked Olive garden for dinner! Then we came home and had Cake (white cake with beautiful flowers on it! EXACTLY as she requested!) And homemade ice cream! She had a lot of fun!!
Today Boston and I took donuts and milk to her class! She has been all smiles! When Alexa is happy everyone around her can't help but be happy! I hope she had a GREAT birthday! We love her!!Do you ever see a picture of your kid and think, "that completely captures who they are!" To me this picture is SERA! She has her favorite hat on (because it is Roxy!!) , whenever she has a jacket on it is always hanging off at least one shoulder if not both, her hair is down(her favorite) and that smile shows her personality. She is very sweet. She has such a tender heart and at the same time can be TOTALLY feisty. She is just a great little girl. She is the first to give me a hug on a bad day, or help out with things. She loves school and loves to have fun! We love her!
This Last weekend we took a last minute trip to California. Frankie wanted to watch his friend compete in the California Ironman. We also took Jason along so they could squeeze in a scuba dive or as they like to say... "blow a few bubbles"! We played on the beach, flew kites and ate a lot of ice cream! The water was too cold for me but the kids loved it!

Do you think that kids will ever get tired of JUMPING those endless waves. I think my kids will do it forever! They caught some pretty good air! It is fun to watch!
