Frankie's race for a Cure!

I am posting this letter from Frankie.  He is doing a special triathlon and all of the information is below...

I am raising funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) as a participant in their Team In Training program for the SOMA Triathlon in Tempe, AZ this fall, and I'm asking anyone I can to help by making a donation to my fundraising campaign.

The SOMA Triathlon will be my fifth triathlon this year and the finale of a long and grueling season.  I have dedicated this race to Ian Crabtree, a 3-year old young man suffering with ALL (Leukemia) whose parents are good friends of our family.  When you access the link below, scroll to the bottom of the page and read more about Ian.

Please use the link in this email to donate online quickly and securely plus learn more about my progress.  You will receive a confirmation of your donation by email and I will be notified as soon as you make your donation.

Each donation helps accelerate finding a cure for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. More than 823,000 Americans are battling these blood cancers.   I am hoping that my participation in Team In Training will help bring them hope and support.

On behalf of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Ian Crabtree, thank you very much for your support.  I greatly appreciate your generosity.

P.S. If you're comfortable with it, I would appreciate it if you would forward this email to as many people as you can to encourage them to donate as well.  Thanks again.

First Day of School!!!

Yesterday was our first day back to school.  They were all very excited.
Sera is in 3rd grade now.  I can't believe how fast it goes.  This picture is her little personality!  She picked her outfit ALL by herself and told me how to do her hair.  So Cute!
Alexa is in 1st grade this year.  She will only wear dresses!  She also asked me why we can't just skip summer and make it school all the time.  She is very social!(like daddy!!)
Boston gets to go to the Kindersteps program this year.  He thinks he is all grown up with his backpack and water bottle like the girls.  Today he said he likes how long his school is (3hrs) because if he was gone as long as the girls he would miss me!!  Still my little boy.  At least for a little longer.

Back to School Party

My kids start school on Monday!!  A perfect opportunity to have a party!  While I took them to rent a movie and pick up pizza Frankie set up this "tent" in the family room for them to sleep in.  They were so surprised.  We had pizza, root beer floats, and watched a movie.  They were going to sleep in it all night but they got scared (we watched Spiderwick!!).  Tonight they are giving it another shot.  We will see if they make it all night or not!  It was a lot of fun.  We will have to start making this a tradition.

Sera got Braces!!

For those that don't know, my sweet Sera has sucked 2 fingers since she was 2 months old.  A very hard habit to break.  Today we got her a little help.  She got a special appliance to keep her from putting her fingers in her mouth.  They also put a few braces on to help push her teeth back where they belong.  She is already in pain and wanting to suck her fingers.  I know she can do it!  I think she looks really cute and sadly all grown up!

Swim Team

This is Sera and her friend Lauryn.  They were in swim team together this year.  Sera loved it.  Her favorite is the backstroke.  She was VERY competitive and did a great job.
I loved watching her improve and get better.  She wanted to know everything about swimming.
We are very proud of how hard she worked!  I am excited to see how she does next year!

My Underwear Model!

This is our Alexa!  She was walking around the house in her underwear and when I asked "where are your clothes?"  She said "MOM, I am an underwear model!!"  So, I left for the store and when I came back Frankie told me I had to see something.  While I was gone she put more underwear on and asked him to take "model" pictures of her!  When I asked why they were taken in front of a toilet she said,"that's where you take underwear pictures mom!!"  For all those that don't know Alexa very well, this is her everyday.  As far back as I can remember she has thought words like, "poop, bum, toot, pee"  are the funniest ever.  Just this morning she was walking away from me and said, "hey, mom what's that?"  While, pulling down her pants and bending over.  I don't know whether to laugh or teach her not to do that stuff.  She is Frankie in a girl body!!  She either makes us laugh or want to SCREAM!  We love her!
